The petanque club 'La Salceda' of Las Torres de Cotillas has once again signed a great season of results, campaign that has been recognized by the local council at an official reception.
"Four of her players participated in the promotion of the Murcia national team to the Honor Division of the Spanish championship," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who received Dolores García, Mª Isabel Bosque, Mª Encarnación Alcolea and Silvia Soriano at the plenary hall of the Consistory last Monday, June 11.
"We have congratulated them, we have transferred the pride that makes all the people feel with their successes and they have told us details of the competition and its upcoming sporting goals," says Zapata.
A Torreño club that has added another success with its youth team, which was proclaimed regional runner-up.
"Every year we are given different joys in the best competitions of this sport both in the Region of Murcia and outside of it and it is a great satisfaction to have a club of this caliber in Las Torres de Cotillas", says the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez, who also participated in this event.
