The mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Isabel María Zapata, and the general director of Environment, Consuelo Rosauro, inaugurated on the morning of Friday, July 13, the conditioning and signaling works on the trails of the protected area of ​​Rambla Salada .
"These works have involved various actions to improve the routes that this enclave offers to hikers, achieving attractive spaces that encourage public use and contact with natural wealth," says the councilor.
The works, which have had an investment of more than 36,000 euros, have been carried out on two paths that start from the municipal tourist lodge: one runs along the banks of the Rambla Salada to the north, in the vicinity of the Lomas de la Melera, with a distance of 5,226 meters;
and another, with 5,764 meters, it goes south on the left bank of the Rambla Salada to the Segura River, ending at the mouth of the Mula River.
"These tasks have led to the conditioning of the footprint, clearing and pruning of vegetation, conditioning of rock passage, construction of a lookout, signage and development of informative and interpretive material", explains Zapata.
