The City of Las Torres de Cotillas will reinforce its actions in the Carmen neighborhood of the municipality.
The mayor, Isabel María Zapata, has met this week with the president of the neighborhood association of this Torrena neighborhood, José Antonio Pérez, who has conveyed the neighborhood complaints that have arisen in recent times.
"The residents of the area talk about situations of insecurity and problems with 'squatters' who inhabit neighborhood homes, which cause discomfort, destruction in common areas and even cause health problems in the environment due to lack of hygiene," explains Zapata .
Therefore, as a first step, the City Council will reinforce the presence of the Local Police and request more attention and vigilance from the Civil Guard personnel present at the Local Safety Center.
"In addition, we will study with Social Services and our legal department what we can legally do as administration before the occupied floors and how we can solve that situation", advances the mayor, who points out that they will also reinforce the cleaning tasks in the area.
"The welfare of all the residents of Las Torres de Cotillas is the main premise of our governance, so we will do everything in our power to protect it," says the councilor.
