The Minister of Education, Adela Martínez-Cachá, and the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Isabel María Zapata, visited the "Vista Alegre" school on Monday, September 24 to check the results of the substitution works the fiber cement roof of the center.
Some works, promoted by the regional government from its 'Educational Infrastructure Plan 2018-2019' and that have had an investment of almost 149,000 euros.
"Specialized personnel has dedicated, along with the elimination of the old plates, to the cleaning of the support structure, the placement of the new cover plates with metal panels and the repair of the roof over the corridor", explains Zapata.
Other works
These works are added in the center to those made a few months ago to improve their electrical installation, which had greater needs in the face of the growing improvements in lighting, technological resources and air conditioning.
"In addition, in recent months in this center have been reformed the toilets of teachers - creating one for the disabled, which lacked - and Primary and Child Education, has been strengthened its foundations and has built a playground in the Infantile zone ", highlights the torreña councilor.
Today, the general director of Centros, Remedios Lajara, and the regional deputy of Ciudadanos Juan José Molina participated in the visit.
In addition to touring the facilities of the school 'Vista Alegre' to see the latest improvements made, the delegation has chatted with members of the center's AMPA.
