The City of Las Torres de Cotillas proposes a reduction of the IBI of about 6% (05/10/2018)

The government team of the City of Las Torres de Cotillas will propose a drop in the Urban Property Tax (IBI) for 2019 in the next municipal plenary session, which is around 6%.

"We want to lower the tax rate for urban farms from 0.69% to 0.63% and for rural ones from 0.65% to 0.60%", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who emphasizes that these decreases are They perform according to the maximum allowed by the Consistory to comply with the budgetary laws established.

"Any decrease that goes beyond those limits goes against the law and, as much as we want to benefit our neighbors, we can not do it," the councilor points out.

Additional bonuses

"In addition, the residents of Las Torres de Cotillas can currently benefit from an additional 5% bonus in the case of direct debit of their taxes," says the councilor of Finance, Ángel González.

The mayor also recalls that in 2018 Zapata's government team lowered taxes in the municipality (including the stamp of the car, which was reduced by almost 20%), reducing municipal revenue by 500,000 euros.
