The festivities begin tomorrow, Thursday, October 11, with the opening of parties by José Francisco and Mª Inés Sarabia (22 hours), and the gala for the election of children's queens
The neighborhood of La Florida in Las Torres de Cotillas is already immersed in the celebration of the festivities in honor of its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar.
After a few days of engine warm-up, on Thursday, October 11, the festivities officially begin with the opening of parties by José Francisco and Mª Inés Sarabia (22 hours), in an evening that will be held on the sports courts and will feature the gala of children's queens choice, shows and raffles.
The following day, the patron saint's day, a mass will be celebrated in her honor at 12 noon offering of flowers and food, the blessing of those born this year and the musical accompaniment of the rock 'El Molinico' of Alguazas.
At 14.30 hours there will be a neighborhood snack at the door of the Hermitage, while at 5.30 pm the neighborhood center will host a bingo and at night will reach the sports courts the 'Night of the Barbecue' ( 21 hours), with meat and beer in charge of the commission.
To close the day, at 10 pm the performances of 'The Rumberos de La Florida' and 'La Nueva Juventud' will take place, as well as several raffles.
The party continues The activities on Saturday, October 13 will begin at 10 am with the tribute to Antonio Sarabia, neighbor of the recently deceased neighborhood.
To remember it, there will be a bicycle ride in which the participants are invited to decorate their bicycles and to dress up.
In the afternoon, the children's games will arrive at the sports courts (5:30 pm) with 'Brodguay Performing Arts' (pintacaras, handicrafts, animation ...), where there will also be a snack.
The night will also be moved on the sports courts, with two great dates: the 'Night of the Migas' (21:30 hours) and the musical performance and show of the great showman José Damián (22:30 hours).
To close the festivities, on Sunday, October 14, a very complete day was planned.
At 10:30 a pilgrimage will depart from the Hermitage to the Church of Our Lady of Salceda, where at 12 o'clock a mass will be celebrated.
Later, the park next to the festival grounds will be the scene of an aperitif (14'15 hours) and the neighborhood center of a bingo (15'30 hours).
As a finishing touch, at 8:30 p.m., the image of the patron saint will begin in procession through the streets of the neighborhood, at the end of which a large fireworks castle will be launched.
