One more year the members of the 'Municipal Social Volunteer Program' of Las Torres de Cotillas took to the streets to celebrate the 'International Day of Volunteering'.
They did it last Tuesday, December 4, with a day of awareness and promotion about their work in the Adolfo Suárez plaza.
For this, they installed an information table in which volunteers and municipal workers informed the passers-by of the spirit of this program, of the activities they carry out and of what the neighbors of the municipality can contribute to this project of the Municipal Social Services Center.
"It is a program that encourages solidarity and active participation of citizens, and whose members we must give both thanks and congratulations for the selfless work they do", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who visited the tent installed next to the Councilor for Social Services, María Dolores Sánchez.
"The volunteers are trained and coordinated for their training in the different tasks that apply to the different areas and areas that make up the life of our municipality," reports the mayor.
