The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has made a series of improvements to the facilities of the municipal sports center, where it has adapted one of the outdoor sports courts to optimize and complement the practice of various sports such as indoor soccer, basketball, handball and volleyball.
"In that track have also been installed new baskets to enhance their versatility," says the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.
Specific maintenance is also being carried out on the new artificial turf soccer field located next to the Pedro Serna House of Culture, where a grandstand was recently installed for spectators who come to this venue and will soon be completed with more seats.
"In that field, we have also proceeded to replace the locker heaters to improve the service to their users," Pérez said.
Other improvements
To these initiatives is added the incorporation of new equipment to the sports courts of the neighborhood of Carmen and La Florida, where anti-vandalic goals have been placed, the expansion of the network in the football field Onofre Fernández Verdú and the solution of the problems of leaks of the sports hall through a waterproofing process.
"In addition, the construction of a canteen in these facilities is also in its final stages," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who stresses that "the commitment to sports and the facilities necessary for their practice are a basic premise for the team of government".
