The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has just undertaken a series of actions in various facilities of the municipal sports center focused on improving the safety of users who practice sports in these facilities.
Specifically, protections have been placed both on the bases of the baskets of the outdoor sports court-installed recently-and on the corners of the portable stands of the Onofre Fernández Verdú football field, which are next to the athletics track.
These protections have the purpose of preventing against accidental blows and accidents typical of sports practice.
Some measures carried out by the Department of Physical Activity and Sports to continue improving and promoting a free, safe and healthy sports practice.
In addition, we must remember that sports facilities are cardioprotected with semiautomatic defibrillators.
These devices are located in the sports halls and in the State Sport sports center, as well as in the Onofre Fernández Verdú soccer field and in the 7 football field next to the House of Culture.
Other improvements
These improvements are framed in the maintenance and renovation works of these municipal facilities.
In recent times, in addition to this commitment to the safety of users, a specific maintenance of the new artificial turf was also performed on the 7th football pitch next to the Pedro Serna House of Culture, where the locker heaters were also replaced. and a grandstand was installed.
Added to these initiatives is the placement of anti-vandalist goals on the sports courts of the Carmen and La Florida neighborhoods, the expansion of the network on the football field Onofre Fernández Verdú and the solution of the filtering problems of the sports center pavilion through a waterproofing process.
