Tomorrow, Saturday, September 28, the patron celebrations of La Media Legua of Las Torres de Cotillas start, with which each year their neighbors pay tribute to San Francisco de Asís and in which the Department of Neighborhoods and Pedanías collaborates.
"Over nine days our beloved village will have fun with a varied program of free activities, designed for all tastes to promote the coexistence of its inhabitants and visitors of all ages," said the mayor Marian Fernández Fernández.
The initial day will have three scheduled activities: at 9 hours a bicicross circuit will be held;
at 17 hours the single soccer match against married will take place;
and at 7.30 pm the start of papers and flags will begin among all the neighbors, which will have free music and beer.
For Sunday, September 29, the inhabitants of La Media Legua Torreña will enjoy a day of living in the Hermitage (12 hours), with food - the commission will put rice and meat to make paellas -, children's activities, bingo and much more .
Varied program
On Wednesday, October 2, the protagonists will be the smallest, for whom the Media Legua cultural association will organize various activities (17:30 hours): gymkana, drawings, etc.
And at night the pilgrimage will take place in honor of San Francisco de Asís (21 hours).
Two appointments are scheduled for Thursday, October 3: at 5:30 p.m. a children's tournament organized by the Media Legua cultural association;
and at 9 pm the Night of the Migas, enlivened with the music of the Sonora Duo and in which the commission will provide the flour and meat to prepare this recipe from Murcia.
End of party
The traditional night of dances and performances of the children of the neighborhood is set for Friday, October 4.
It will begin at 9:30 pm and then the party will continue with a mobile disk until the body endures.
The traditional parade of floats will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 6 pm, a long-awaited event in which the neighbors will once again show their imagination and their desire to have a good time.
Already at night Juanjo the hairdresser will direct the play We were few and now more (22'30 hours), which will be the prelude to the musical performance of the duo Ella and Him (00 hours). The celebrations will be closed on Sunday 6 of October, on a day when activities will begin at 12 noon with a mass in honor of the patron.
At 16 hours, the ribbon races will take place, which will already give way to the procession with the image of San Francisco de Asís (20:30 hours) and the fireworks castle that will put an end to the parties (22 hours) .
