The Councilor for Education of Las Torres de Cotillas, Rafael Martínez García, held a meeting yesterday with the representatives of the Mothers and Parents of Students (AMPAS) associations of the teaching centers of the municipality.

This meeting had two main objectives: on the one hand, once the 2019-20 school year began, to serve as a presentation of the new mayor, who wanted to recognize in person his important daily task;

and, on the other, to know first hand the needs of these centers.

"It has been a useful meeting, in which I really wanted to participate to meet the representatives of the AMPAS and know by their mouth the urgencies of each center, as well as the needs of the students and their mothers and fathers, that we are going to study and value to try to give them a solution, "says the mayor, who reports that there was also talk of the subsidy approved in the participatory budgets that these entities are receiving.

"Our purpose is for these meetings to be held periodically to maintain constant and close communication with this very fundamental sector of the educational community and whose work is so valuable," Martínez García reports.
