Last Thursday, October 24, the Department of Social and Senior Services of Las Torres de Cotillas held the first of two free talks for caregivers of elderly and / or dependents that will be held this month.

This took place in the neighborhood center of La Florida, was taught by a psychologist and was attended by about 20 people, in addition to the councilwoman María del Mar Ruiz Rosillo.

Attendees received notions about emotional and psychological aspects of care, both regarding the caregiver and the caregiver;

on health aspects, such as postural changes of the dependent and postural hygiene of the caregiver;

and recommendations for healthy aging, to improve the nutritional status of the elderly and the benefits of physical exercise.

The second of these talks chosen in the participatory budgeting process will be held on Thursday, October 31 (5 pm) in the social center of Los Pulpites and will also have free access.
