'El Telón Negro' from Madrid closes with 'Fúbol' the eighth national amateur theater contest Juan Baño (27/10/2019)

Show in a humorous way the taboos of homosexuality in the world of football.

With that objective, the company 'El curtain negro' from Navalcarnero (Madrid) took the stage of the Pedro Serna Culture House in Las Torres de Cotillas on Saturday, October 26.

And it is that with his fresh comedy 'Fubol' closed the contest of the eighth edition of the national amateur theater contest Juan Baño, organized by the Department of Culture and the amateur theater group Tejuba.

A play in which five diverse and absurd characters gut the ins and outs of the world of football, in a plot that focuses on a superstar who has to hide his gay status.

To conclude this event, on Saturday, November 9 (9 pm) and with free admission, the closing evening will be held.

In it, attendees can enjoy the representation of 'The prodigious shoemaker', which the Tejuba group will make out of competition, and awards will be given, very succulent as each edition: 1,000 euros and trophy for the best show;

200 euros and three times for the best actor and actress;

100 euros and trophy for the best address;

and 100 euros and three times for the best actress and supporting actor.

A complete contest

This contest started last Saturday, October 5 with the staging of the play 'Women's Assembly' by the Caligae Teatro de Yecla.

A fun historical vision of the struggle of the sexes with which the Murcian group completes the Aristophonic trilogy after Lysistrata and Tesmoforias.

On Saturday, October 12, it was the turn of the Madrid company Mascarade, which represented 'The Grönholm method'.

This ruthless and hilarious comedy, with large doses of intrigue, made the public laugh that crowded the city hall with its history that tells the process of personnel selection for an important executive position.

The group La Barraca de Federico (San Pedro del Pinatar) offered last Saturday, October 19, a great theater night with its representation of the dramatic comedy 'The broken unicorn'.

An adaptation of 'The Crystal Zoo' by Pulitzer Tennesee Williams that featured a middle-class family that survives under the shadow of a father who disappeared long ago.
