The Mireia Belmonte municipal pavilion was the scene last Saturday October 26 of the first day of the north headquarters of the 2019/20 badminton interstelles tournament, organized by the Badminton Federation of the Region of Murcia (FEBAMUR).
This school sport event, in which the Department of Health and Sports collaborated, was held in the categories sub-9 (7-8 years), sub-11 (9-10 years), sub-13 (11-12 years ) and sub-15 (13-14 years).
Next to the torreña, the other venue of the new format of this tournament is San Pedro del Pinatar, which welcomes participants from the southern zone in the Prince of Asturias pavilion.
In total, there were 120 participants registered for this first day, distributed in both venues and belonging to these teams: 30 7 40 Sports Club of San Pedro del Pinatar, CB Molina and CB Judesa (Molina de Segura), CA Las Torres (Las Torres de Cotillas), CB Infante (Murcia), CB Alcantarilla (Alcantarilla) and CB La Paz de El Palmar (Murcia).
Both locations will also host the 2nd (November 23) and the 3rd round (February 15) of this regional championship, which has its final set for March 21 and in which the first ten classified teams will participate in March 2020 each zone
In this event the first two of each category will receive their corresponding medal and a prize in sports equipment.
