The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, through its Department of Equality, has recognized the participation of schools in the municipality in the project "Counting and talking I'm going to co-educate."
This initiative offered co-educational activities of gender equality in the last months of October, November and December to children from 1 ° to Infant Education to 6 ° of Primary.
"We are very grateful for their collaboration in a campaign as beautiful as necessary," said Equality Councilor María Dolores Sánchez, who along with Mayor Domingo Coronado presided over the delivery of diplomas last Friday January 20 in the Plenary Hall of the townhall.
"With this type of initiatives we are increasingly closer to an egalitarian world, where there are human beings and not men and women," said the mayor.
This initiative was developed in the schools "Cervantes", "Divino Maestro", "Joaquín Cantero", "Valentín Buendía", "The Park", "Susarte", "Vista Alegre", "San José" and "Monteazahar".
"The content was adapted to each of the students' ages, from sessions of coeducational games, through storytelling and, in the case of the students of the last courses, analysis with a gender perspective of the publicity that children receive from The media, "explains Sánchez, who explains that the program was developed by the company" Cultural Actions "and the talks given by Miriam Oller.
This project was framed in the actions of sensitization in equality of opportunities and prevention of the violence of gender programmed by the Department of Equality.
