Last weekend of March 31, 1 and 2 of April Las Torres de Cotillas hosted the "FestiJorge 2017", which brought together about 3,000 young scouts from all over the Region of Murcia.

The event was organized by the Scout Federation of Murcia organizers, with the support of the scout group 'ĂŤtaca' Torreńo belonging to this entity, counted on the two great activities that this federation performs to involve all its partners: the celebration of the patron Of this collective, San Jorge, and the 'XXXVI Regional Festival of the Scout Song', celebrated on the afternoon of Saturday April 1 in the municipal auditorium 'Juan Bańo'.
In this contest participated scout groups with members between 6 and 21 years, who interpreted with creativity and fun wit letters and scenographies to convey the values ​​and principles of Scouting.
At the Rambla Salada
In addition, a tree plantation was planted on the morning of Sunday, April 2 in the area of ​​the Rambla Salada shelter, which was attended by many young people belonging to different scout groups.
"This event shows every year that the youth of Murcia is participatory and that defends values ​​such as the defense of the environment and social participation through their activities and music," said the Councilor for Youth, Ginés Pérez, whose area collaborated in the Organization of this proposal that also had the assistance of the general director of Youth of the regional Government, Francisco Javier Sánchez, and of the president of the Scout Federation of Explorers of Murcia, Daniel Lopez.
