The SEF allocates more than 176,000 euros for two projects with which the Torreño City Council will hire 23 people (28/06/2017)

The Regional Employment and Training Service of the regional government has granted two projects to the City of Las Torres de Cotillas for a value of more than 176,000 euros, with which a total of 23 people, including the two trainers of both initiatives, can be hired.

On the one hand a 'Joint Program of Employment and Training of Youth Guarantee' which will employ 15 people and, on the other hand, a 'Local Public Employment Program' which provides for the hiring of 6 workers.

"They are two very interesting training actions, with a very important subsidy that will allow us to promote employment in the municipality," said the Councilor for Employment, Ángel González.

The first one will serve its participants to achieve the certificate of professionalism of "Cleaning of open spaces and industrial facilities", whose main occupations are the garbage collector, sweeper, sewer maintenance operator, road cleaning worker and Related, and pawn collecting waste.

This project will last 9 months, will have 15 students / workers and will be divided into two phases: the first one lasting three months and in which the participants will receive theoretical and practical training;

And the second in which students who pass the first phase will be hired for a period of 6 months where they will alternate work with the theoretical phase.

"During this second phase, they will carry out their work mainly on public roads that require them most, using sweeper trolleys, brooms, blowers and sweepers up to 3,500 kilos," says González.

Unemployed hired 6 months

With the second of the projects, which will have a duration of 6 months, will be hired 6 people in unemployment: three pawns of civil work, two painters and a mason.

"A bricklayer and a laborer will mainly work in the repair and replacement of traffic signs, curbs and slabs ...", explains the mayor.

The rest of the participants will perform painting and repainting of road signs, arrangements in those municipal offices, public street furniture and office requiring repair or a new treatment.

"Their places of work will be mainly the schools, the dependencies of the Municipal Sports Center, the public roads, etc.", points out González.
