The amateur theater group 'Tejuba' has been chosen to proclaim the 2017 Festivities of Las Torres de Cotillas, at the gala presentation that will take place on Friday, August 18 (22 hours) in the Municipal Auditorium 'Juan Baños'.
The group, which has just turned 50 years old, is made up of amateur performers and has never stopped producing theater.
An activity that unites more than 40 people in ages between one year and the past seventies, as it has a large group of actors that guarantee the continuity of this group.
"It is a gift, one more that makes us our people, which we receive with a greater responsibility, but facing it with much enthusiasm and pride because we recognize that we are privileged", they point out from the theatrical group Torreño, where they point out that "this distinction is the Best finishing touch to close the anniversary celebration of our 50-year history. "
A special night
Of the evening the criers want a special night.
"We will perform a scented proclamation of our essence, all together, transmitting emotions, laughter, some tear and winking at the plays of our repertoire and melding us in an applause with all the attendees," they point out.
"We will proclaim the basic pillars of what our festivities have been, what they are and how they will continue to be, always with the respect, participation, enthusiasm and devotion to our patroness, the Virgin of the Salceda", they emphasize .
Founded by Juan Baño, this theater group has toured all the municipalities of the Region of Murcia, and other bordering communities such as Almeria, Albacete or Alicante.
In its repertoire you can find sainetes, hors d'oeuvres, classical theater, as well as current theater and sacramental cars.
