Today, Tuesday 10 October, the 'World Mental Health Day' is commemorated and, like every year, the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas has not wanted to miss its celebration by the hand of the Association of Families and Mental Illnesses of Murcia (AFES).
For this, the Center for Young Artists of the municipality hosted yesterday the inauguration of an exhibition of painting, photography and ceramics, works done by users of the day center and the residence that the association has in the locality.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, and the president of AFES, Maria Teresa Martinez, who read a manifesto.
"Days like this serve to work on social awareness of positive values ​​associated with mental illness," explains Coronado.
The opening of the exhibition also counted on the performance of the choir of the entity and a photocall so that the public could immortalize their attendance.
