Next Saturday, March 17 (20:30) the former mayor Domingo Coronado will be in charge of giving the proclamation of Holy Week 2018 of Las Torres de Cotillas.
This official start of these religious celebrations will take place in the Church of Our Lady of Salceda, in an act in which Antonio Hernández will also be distinguished as 'Nazarene of the Year', to which his special dedication to Holy Week has been recognized. Torrena in all aspects.
Coronado has been chosen by the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías of Las Torres de Cotillas with the absolute approval of all the brotherhoods of the municipality.
"Domingo has always shown his affection and affection for the Holy Week of our town and with this recognition we have wanted to give him back all the effort he has put into making it grow during his 14 years as mayor," explains the president of the Cabildo, José Sánchez.
The speech of the pregonero -who will attend the mayoress Torrena Isabel María Zapata- will serve as a prelude to the parades of passion in the town.
"The first date will be March 18 with the children's procession and on March 23, the traditional procession will begin, with the procession of Friday of Dolores," says Sanchez.
