One more year the Virgen de los Dolores -work of the Murcian sculptor Juan González Moreno- presided over his procession of the Holy Week of Las Torres de Cotillas.
It was on Friday night, March 23, Friday of Dolores, when this event opened the traditional parades of the municipality.
A procession that started from the Church of Our Lady of Salceda leaving a trail of Nazarenes dressed in white and blue, the colors of the Brotherhood of the Virgen de los Dolores Torrena (founded in 1957).
Before, at the doors of the temple, the bell of auroros 'Virgen del Rosario' local sang several songs in honor of the Virgin.
After that intervention, the only step of this procession was launched.
The Virgen de los Dolores, which dresses in a rose-colored dress and metallic brocade, and a blue evening cloak hand-embroidered in the workshops of Lorca, covered her usual route through the streets of Las Torres de Cotillas in an itinerary that was well attended by public.
