The City Council gets tough Torreño against dog droppings on the street (31/10/2010)

The Department of the Environment and Public Health Cotillas Towers have been steadfast in combating pet droppings in the streets of the town.

To this end, has begun putting up posters in various public places in the locality in which it informs the owners of animals that the fine for not picking up the "poop" of their animals can amount to 750 euros.

Thus, posters are being placed by the concessionaire for the maintenance of parks and gardens, "Landscape Development, SL", in the Parque de la Constitution, Paco Rabal Park, in the garden of Andrés Segovia Street and Park from the pulpits.

"In addition to this preventive measure, local police began warning those owners who do not pick up after their dogs and, in case of recidivism, is punishable by fines of up to 750 euros," said Councilman Torreño Public Health, Alfonso Sandoval .

The "Municipal Regulation on the Protection and Possession of Animals" Cotillas Towers provides in Article 38.1 required the removal of droppings from the street.
