The City of Las Torres de Cotillas already has in place in the municipality employment workshop "Building Maintenance", with 12 students / workers.
Thus, the Councillor for Economic Promotion Torrena, Gloria Fernandez visited this week at school, "Cervantes" to its members, whose job is to make minor repairs to masonry, plumbing and electricity, mainly in the public schools of the locality.
In this workshop will be added shortly to "home help assistant, who also have 12 students / workers.
Among its objectives, to provide needed care to individuals or groups of families with difficulties in their autonomy, to prevent situations of deteriorating personal, family and social, to promote the acquisition of skills that allow them more autonomous development in daily life or prevent or delay institutionalization.
In addition, students also learn to perform tasks such as family support groups in their caring responsibilities, complete the work of the family and improve the quality of life, seeking a more secure existence, independent of the people served.
Specific programs
Both workshops are funded by the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government with about 520,000 euros, which will add a municipal contribution of 30,000, and all participants are between 25 and 55, with more than 12 months registered with the employment office.
Moreover, these projects, which will end in December 2011 - also entail the hiring of a director, a business management monitor, monitor, home help and monitor building maintenance.
"For student workers who have not attained the objectives of the ESO will organize specific programs to provide basic and vocational training to enable them to enter the work force or continue their studies in the various education regulated," says Councillor for Economic Promotion Torrena, Gloria Fernández.
