Valcárcel highlights "the strong commitment to public safety" representing the Civil Guard station in Las Torres de Cotillas (10/10/2013)

The new facilities, which are home to 48 members of the Civil Guard, have 590 m2 distributed between a basement and two floors, and also have 17 parking spaces

The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, said today "the strong commitment to safety," which means, "even in times of budgetary restraint", the launch of the Civil Guard station in Cotillas Towers.

Valcárcel was speaking after chairing the opening ceremony of the Guardia Civil in the town, which was accompanied, among other authorities, the Secretary of State for Security, Francisco Martinez, the government delegate, Joaquín Bascuñana, and Mayor Cotillas Towers, Domingo Coronado.

The new Main Post Civil Guard Cotillas Towers is located in the Integral Safety Center, opened on August 22 and which also houses the staff of the Local Police and Civil Protection of the municipality.

The City Council gave the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the total 590 m2 2,300 m2 of floor area available to the Security Center, distributed courtyard, basement, ground floor and first floor.

The location of the new units of the Civil Guard in Cotillas Towers is part of the reorganization of units of the 1st Company-Murcia which began in February.

In total, the Civil Guard has today with 48 effective Cotillas Towers: 43 policemen from the Since Sewer and Judicial Police team consisting of five members from Molina de Segura.

Part of 590 m2 available to the Since distributed between the basement (124 m2), on the ground floor (124 m2) in and first floor (207 m2).

Among the rooms on the ground floor are the areas of Citizen and Gender Violence.

On the first floor are the Judicial Police Equipment, Laboratory, Research Area and Safety Unit.

There are also other facilities shared with the local police, such as the Chambers of Training, Crisis and Briefing.

Also, are reserved to the Guardia Civil 17 parking spaces, distributed between the courtyard and the basement, where also proposed for location Detention Center, pending approval.

The Comprehensive Security Center

The Comprehensive Security Center in the same building houses the Civil Defence volunteers and 38 local policemen with currently available to the municipality, which are now joined the 48 members of the Civil Guard.

The construction of this infrastructure, located in a central area of ​​the town, easily accessible and well connected, has been possible thanks to the collaboration between the region and the City, and has required a total investment of 1.3 million euros , of which € 600,000 has been provided by the Regional Administration.
