The Socialist Party calls Cotillas Towers municipal budgets for 2014 of "unfair and unsupportive" (18/10/2013)

On October 14 township Cotillas Towers held an extraordinary plenary session of ordinary character, in which, among other agenda points afforded the Budget for 2014.

Budgets Municipal Socialist Group voted against the understanding that, although somewhat more realistic in terms of revenue in previous years, not quite correspond to the needs of the municipality on the expenditure side.

Socialists lament Towers, between interest and loans payable, the public debt of the municipality has increased from € 1,140,000 to 1,485,000 in 2014.

And, while the game as senior spends € 225,000 to € 299,000 (€ 54,000 charged Mayor), intended only € 4000 for the conservation of the schools and there is no measure contained in the budget to improve the situation of over 2,600 unemployed in the municipality: "It is incomprehensible that, with all the needs that Torreño is dedicated to increase the starting pay of senior staff. Such increase could be directed to other areas most needed for the development and operation of municipality, "said Antonio Peñas, Municipal spokesperson Socialist Cotillas Towers.

In addition, to the Municipal Socialist Group, the huge expense that generates the municipal pool is not covered in full in the budget, as there is a very high electricity costs, that exceeds € 150,000, plus € 412,000 grant to the company dealership.

Also, Peñas again reminded the government team that the pool was a construction that torreños excessive take more than 30 years to pay and should be managed so as to save as much as possible.

Therefore, the Socialists proposed the redemption through a loan with the remainder of planning agreements and then pull the contest to prevent the town still carried by the payment of the pool for decades.

The Socialists also called for the abolition of the council press office, considering that it is a "cabinet government propaganda team" that costs € 70,000 torreños: "We understand it is an expense exorbitant, considering also that the Press Office is violating the specifications as to the operation of the radio. Pledged to make a daily information and we know that is not going well. "

Finally, the PSOE executive Towers reminded the city that the city can not afford to keep paying a private company to manage the municipal dump since only brings benefits: "We have hired a private company to manage the dump and only plans to raise € 6,900 for 2013, which makes sense if you consider that opens only two hours two days a week. makes no sense to keep that contract. "

Peñas also demanded explanations on the dirty streets of the municipality even though € 270,000 is allocated annually to the cleaning of roads and asked for a Strategic Plan grants to municipal associations, in which predominates the transparency and equality.
