The Festivities 2014 Towers Cotillas concluded last night Sunday 31 August with the traditional act of burning the Raspajo, that at midnight was reduced to ashes in the Esplanade Master Don Angel Palazón Torreño municipality.
Earlier, Mayor Torreño, Coronado Sunday, had addressed a few words to those present to begin closing the celebrations in this "ninot" took center stage.
A snowman large papier mache, made a year by local artisans and Ruben Requena Pedro Fernandez, who pays tribute to huertano past vendimiador and agricultural town.
So while the Raspajo was consumed in the flames, attendees enjoyed a great piromusical castle with color and rhythm which gave concluding Festivities 2014 Cotillas Towers.
The festivities, held in honor of the Virgen de la Salceda since last August 23, also counted in yesterday with the traditional procession in honor of the patron saint through the streets of the town, which was a prelude Mass in a crowded Church of Our Lady of Salceda chaired by the local mayor.
