On Thursday 4 December, the assembly hall of the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Las Torres de Cotillas host the talk-talk "Osteoporosis: Awareness and Prevention", organized by the City Council in collaboration with FHOEMO Torreño (Hispanic Foundation Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases) with free entrance until full capacity.

What is it?
Osteoporosis, which affects one in every five women over age 45, and four out of ten of more than 60 - is a decrease in bone mass and mechanical strength, is the leading cause of bone fractures in women after menopause and the elderly in general.
This disease has no well-defined beginning and, until recently, the first visible sign of the disease used to be a broken hip, wrist or vertebral body that cause pain or deformity.
At present, it can be diagnosed through a bone density study
