Improvements in parks and municipal gardens, a citizen service APP, installation of marquees in the Local Security Center, an urban renewal plan and new equipment for Local Police and Civil Protection, among the planned actions
The City of Las Torres de Cotillas will allocate more than 743,000 euros from the surplus for the year 2017 to different investments in the municipality.
"After eliminating the municipal debt last September our accounts are positive, we are in an enviable situation and we can allocate the surplus to invest in the municipality, returning to our neighbors the effort they have made in the worst moments of the crisis," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
In this line of management, on Thursday, June 28, the municipal plenary session approved a loan modification of more than 143,000 euros to allocate it to three objectives: to improve various parks and municipal gardens;
install some canopies in the external parking of vehicles of the Local Safety Center;
and the development of a computer application (APP) to improve citizen service.
Previously, also in full had been approved to allocate 600,000 euros for an urban renewal plan and another improvement of the equipment of the security forces.
More than 143,000 euros
"The works of renovation and improvement in parks and gardens of the municipality will count on a game of more than 110,500 euros and will be used for arrangements of the green areas, children's games and street furniture", explains the councilor.
The spaces in which these tasks will be performed are those located in the streets Casilda Buendía, Andrés Segovia and Amparo Barrio, and next to the school La Loma, Los Llanos and the municipal auditorium 'Juan Baño'.

For its part, for the construction of the canopies will be allocated 15,000 euros and these will serve to protect the vehicles used by both the Local Police and the Civil Guard, which are the two security bodies that share those facilities.
"In addition, the APP that will be developed will be adapted to the electronic administration and will allow a more direct interaction, which will result in an attention to the residents of the most specialized and personalized municipality", informs Zapata, who points out that this tool will cost 18,150 euros .
Another 600,000 euros
"The actions of the urban renewal plan will be divided into several actions, including the reinforcement of the road to improve road traffic," explains City Councilor for Maintenance of the City, Inmaculada Fernández, who says that these jobs will be carried out in Sagunto streets , Madrid, Fernandez Vera, San Antonio, Moreras, Condomina, ave.
Juan Carlos, Quevedo, Valle Inclán, Campo Abajo, Mula, Ricardo Montes and the Mediterranean / Aegean Sea.
Likewise, the infrastructures will be renewed in Narciso Yepes street, between the streets of Bolivia and Velázquez, and in Ángel Molina street.
"There will also be hydro-desalination to improve adherence in various roads and several roads will be repaired," says Fernandez, which indicates that sidewalks will also be renewed on Juan Carlos I Avenue and the road in another group of streets (Rioja, Catalonia , Andalusia, Asturias).
"In addition, we will improve the efficiency of public buildings and build a kiosk in the municipal sports center," Zapata said.
As for the improvements for the security forces, the main novelty will be the incorporation of new vehicles for their service in the municipality.
"They are going to buy two cars for the Local Police and another for Civil Protection", informs the councilor of Police and Civil Protection, Pedro José Noguera, who also announces that a drone will be acquired for this last body and bullet-proof vests for the agents.
