Torreño athletes Angel Salinas and Antonio Sales compete these days in the world championship Master category of veterans that takes place in Malaga until September 16.
"Angel is registered in the 100, 200 and 400 meters in the category of over 65 years, while Antonio will run in the 5,000 meters for over 55 years," says the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.
Salinas has already contested the 100-meter test, where after qualifying for the semifinal a small physical mishap left him without options in this round.
"He had to finish his series walking, he has had to pass through the physio and it is doubtful for the 200 meter test, but he expects to arrive well on day 11 to 400, distance of which he is champion of Spain", explains Pérez, who points that Sales competes on the 12th
