The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has completed the works and maintenance work that every summer takes place in the public schools of the municipality.
"They are the typical works of electricity, plumbing, painting, masonry, locksmithing or glassware that after the school year are necessary in many points of these centers and that are ready for the beginning of the course", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata .
These tasks, which began at the end of May, have been carried out by participants in an employability program of the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government.
"In addition, in the school 'Vista Alegre' have completed the works of replacement of the roof of fiber cement and will proceed to change the skylights and the arrangement of the interior terrace between the two roofs of the center," says the councilor of Education, Pedro Cabrera, who points out that they have also carried out maintenance work on the electrical installation of the 'San José' school.
Other tasks
"In addition, all the trees in the schools have been pruned, all courtyards have been shot with pressurized water and the municipal cleaning staff is carrying out a thorough cleaning of all the centers," says Cabrera.
Also for the beginning of the 2018-19 teaching course the dining room of the 'El Parque' school will be ready, where its installation has been completed and the details of the furniture transfer and its placement are being finalized.
