The public schools of Las Torres de Cotillas have already begun their 2018-19 academic year, in which they host about 2,200 students in their classrooms.
On the occasion of the official ceremony of the beginning of the classes in Torreño schools, the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, and the general director of Educational Planning and Human Resources, Juana Mulero, visited on Tuesday morning September 11 the school 'Valentín Buendía '
Accompanied by the councilor of Education, Pedro Cabrera, and the director of the center, Carmen Alarcón, both have chatted with teachers and students of the school on these first days of class.

A course that has begun after the usual maintenance work carried out during the summer in the schools of the municipality.
"Electricity, plumbing, painting, masonry, locksmith or glassware have been done," says Cabrera, who adds that "the trees have been pruned, the courtyards have been shot with water under pressure and the municipal staff has cleaned the fund of all centers. "
"In addition, in the school 'Vista Alegre' have completed the works of replacement of the roof of fiber cement and will proceed to change the skylights and the arrangement of the interior terrace between the two roofs of the center," says Cabrera.
