Las Torres de Cotillas will produce 'clean' energy.
And it is that the company 'Cardiff Spain Solar' is finishing the construction works of a photovoltaic solar plant located in the place of Lo Cortao of the municipality, on lands that cover about 75,000 meters.
"This installation will produce electricity from solar energy, intended for sale to the grid and avoiding the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who notes that this project has its relevant permits and authorizations.
This solar park, which will be available in the near future, will create a nominal power of 3.34 megawatts.
"The Region of Murcia is the autonomous community number one in the country in solar power installed per square kilometer and is at the head of renewable energy worldwide," says Zapata, who highlights the importance of this solar plant in the municipality.
