The literary association 'The Towers' celebrated last Friday, October 26 at the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' a new edition of the 'Literary Friday'.
At the center of the evening there was a tribute to the elderly, where they recited poems by authors of all times, as well as their own creation.
With the presence of the mayor Isabel María Zapata and the president of the entity, the popular poet Salvador Sandoval, in this meeting took part members of the host association, amateur theater group 'Tejuba' and the Center for the Elderly of the municipality.
In addition, the regional deputy and former mayor Torreño Domingo Coronado spoke about the role of older people today, highlighting what they represent in society and future prospects and their role in the welfare state.
After the poetic recital a theatrical performance was staged and the copla group of the Center for the Elderly took part in a performance with the most representative of their repertoire.
