Tomorrow Sunday November 11 (10 hours) the Department of Physical Activity and Sports of Las Torres de Cotillas, the hiking association 'The Pilgrims' and the group 'Ithaca' scout have organized a day to enjoy the improvements made recently in the trails of the protected area of ​​Rambla Salada.With departure from the municipal shelter, two routes are proposed: one from a distance of 1.3 km and an estimated time of 25 minutes (Roca-Albergue);
and another one a little more long, of 2'1 km and that will take about an hour for the circular path of Lomas de las Meleras.
"It is an activity for the whole family, which does not require a great physical form, and it is advisable to bring water, sunscreen and a hat," says Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.
More than 36,000 euros of investment
"These works have involved various conditioning and signaling works to improve the routes that this enclave offers to hikers, achieving attractive spaces that encourage public use and contact with natural wealth," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
"These tasks have involved the conditioning of the footprint, clearing and pruning of vegetation, conditioning of rock passage, construction of a lookout, signage and development of informative and interpretive material," explains Zapata, who notes that the investment was higher than the 36,000 euros.
