The 98.61% of the Torreņos that went to vote in the referendum of approval of the Spanish Constitution celebrated on December 6, 1978 did it in favor of the Magna Carta.
Specifically, 4,666 residents and neighbors of our town supported the current Law of Laws.
3 of every 4 men and women with voting rights of Las Torres de Cotillas deposited their ballot in the 8 electoral tables set up for this referendum.
Two intense weeks of campaign gave much of itself in the posting of advertising posters inciting the "Yes", the "No" and the abstention in this constitutional approval.
A small sample of these claims, a large part of the same that was seen on the walls of our town at that key moment of the democratic transition illustrates this commemorative article.
