The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has already awarded the works to repair the fence on the Avenida de Diputación bridge that was partially demolished during a traffic accident last Christmas.
"The corresponding administrative procedure has been followed and in a few days this problem will have been solved, before which all the pertinent measures have been taken during these holidays", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
The works will include the replacement of the fence and the curb in the affected section, where a vehicle ended up on the sidewalk and impacting against said metallic barrier.
"The important thing is that in that accident that led to the breakage of these commons there was no need to mourn victims, since the bridge that passes over the railway line is several meters above the ground", highlights Zapata.
