A series of institutions with a clear Torreño stamp -in terms of their promoters and components- have strengthened and enhanced the folklore of our land since the middle of the last century wherever they go and act.

We talk about culture, traditions, customs, intangible, intangible heritage of a people in their varieties of music, dance, costumes and oral wisdom transmitted from generation to generation and popularized at a massive and popular level in its day by the Feminine Section of Choirs and Dances of Las Torres de Cotillas (active since the 40s well into the 70s of the last century), "Nortza Huertana" (founded in 1982) and BADANA (Dances and National Dances, created in 1985) and today, thanks to the push , claw and deployment of human, technical and shared illusions means of which the Peñas "L'Almamara" (in force since 1981), "El Rincon Pulpitero" and Ethnographic Group "Vergel de Murcia" (both starting their career) are capable now a quarter of a century) as well as in its genre the Bell of Auroros "Virgen del Rosario" (re-founded in 2011 after its disappearance in 1944 and with a tradition dating from the 18th century).

Letters, melodies and rhythms that are visible in those multitudinous and consolidated -by popularity, variety and participation of artists and public- Cultural Weeks of Las Torres de Cotillas that began in 1985 the very active Peña "L'Almazara" and that take shape from these dates as a showcase for the great diversity of our folklore exemplified in jotas, malagueñas, parrandas -the oldest dance in the region and with varieties such as the seguidillas, the pardicas and the aguileñas, the salves de hueros huertanos and animeros , the Christmas eagle and a long etcetera.

In short, a folklore that is one of the greatest cultural treasures of our land, lavish in identity, proud of them and open to the world.
