The XXV Night Race of the Torreñas parties breaks their participation record with 550 runners of all ages (29/08/2019)

The Night Race Fiestas de Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated its 25th edition yesterday Wednesday August 28 and did it in the best way: increasing the success of the last editions with the participation of 550 athletes of all ages, its record.

Organized by the Department of Health and Sports in collaboration with the Las Torres Athletics and Civil Protection club, the event modified its route to make its participants more comfortable.

With an exit on the Calle Mayor, the athletes took the course towards Fernández Vera Street to turn down Campo Street to Dalí Street, continue along D'Stoup Street and again line the finish line on Calle Mayor.

The race proposed the following categories: lollipops (130 meters), pre-benjamín and benjamín (450 meters) and juvenile and child (1,330 meters), while cadet, youth, junior, absolute, promise, senior and veterans covered a total of 6,000 meters.

In addition, the first three classified from pre-Benjamin to junior received a medal, while podiums from absolute to veterans were awarded a trophy.

In addition, the first torreños classified in each category also took their medal.

The winners of the absolute category were Mario Molina and Sabina María Rico, and all classifications can be found at www.asuspuestos.es.

Special for kids

A day that, in addition to the most important sporting event of the celebrations, was dedicated to the little ones.

Throughout the day the attractions of the fair offered a reduced price to boys and girls, in addition to that the Parque de la Constitución had a water-party throughout the day.

From noon and for about eight hours the smallest of the house could enjoy in the Constitution Park a new edition of the water-party.

Inflatables, emotion, water, activities and lots of fun, all for free.

The icing on the children's proposals arrived at the Juan Baño municipal auditorium, where as every year the Rincón Pulpitero club delighted the little ones with its funniest proposal: the CantaRincón, a musical show with free admission and the participation of the characters Most popular cartoons.
