The mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Joaquín Vela Fernández, has visited the labor insertion initiatives that are developed in the local development center of La Media Legua.
On the one hand, the mixed program of employment and training for over 25 years of cleaning surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises, which started last April and has a grant from the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) of 218,000 euros.
"It has 1,440 hours of training load, where theoretical training alternates with real practice, and at the end of its participants will receive their professional certificate," explains the mayor.
This program will end next January and has 15 students / workers who are hired by the City Council since the beginning of the program under the modality hired for training.
"The students combine their theoretical training with the work they do in the San José, Valentín Buendía, El Parque, El Cervantes, Vistalegre and Joaquín Cantero schools, and in the municipal offices of the House of Culture, the City Hall and the municipal sports center ", indicates the Councilor for Employment, Elisa Isabel Hurtado Aviles.
For over 45 years
The other project visited by Mayor Torreño in these municipal offices of La Media Legua includes training and job placement for long-term unemployed people over 45 years of age.
It focuses on the specialty of cleaning surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises, and has a total teaching load of 290 hours and a subsidy of just over 19,000 euros.
After classes, the students who pass will perform 80 hours of non-work professional practices in a company in the cleaning sector scheduled for next January.
