New medal for the broad curriculum of the archer Monica Puche.
The torreña was proclaimed runner-up of Spain in the modality of naked arch in national championship of room celebrated a few days ago in the Castellón town of Marina D'Or.
"I started the championship with bad feelings and in the qualifier I went to qualifiers in sixth position and without expectations for a technical problem," explains Monica, who still managed to qualify for the medals.
"In the semifinals I was very nervous, but I got into the final, where the Andalusian Casandra Campo, who is a great goalkeeper, took the gold," concludes the goalkeeper, who belongs to the club Rincon del Águila.
In this championship, where more than 700 archers from all over the country participated, the Murcia expedition returned with four medals, including the turret silver.
"Monica is a great value of the sport of Las Torres de Cotillas and her people are always happy and proud of their achievements," says Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
Monica's last national gold medal was last July in the Spanish 3D championship, in the bare arch category.
In other editions, the Torreña shooter has been Spain's champion in the outdoor bare arch, as well as the national runner-up in the naked arc in the 3D room and the bronze in the naked 3D arc in the open air, both individually and with the Murcia national team.
