The drawing contest for the children's poster design of Holy Week 2020 of Las Torres de Cotillas breaks participation records (13/02/2020)

About a hundred and a half of Las Torres de Cotillas schoolchildren have participated in the third edition of the drawing contest for the design of the poster announcing the children's procession of the local Holy Week 2020.

Created and organized by the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías of the municipality, this event has broken records this year of participants in a call that, open to children and young people up to 16 years of age, required as a primary requirement to draw the child's image with which the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Nazareno and Santo Entierro de Cristo parades in the children's procession of Holy Week Torreña.

According to the significant figures of works received since last December, we are facing a contest that, edition after edition, goes to more in quality and number of participants, an exponential growth similar to the one that has been experiencing since its creation in 2017 the Children's procession of Holy Week in Las Torres de Cotillas -programmed this year on March 29, at 5 p.m.-, nursery of new brotherhoods and school of devotion focused on giving continuity and expansion to one of the traditions and samples of religiosity popular more massive, splendid and more traditional of the municipality, with origins documented in the first third of the seventeenth century.

It should be noted that the name and surname of the winner of this third edition of the children's contest, at the discretion of a Jury established for this purpose and composed of members of the aforementioned Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Nazarene and Holy Burial of Christ, will be revealed in the solemn act of presentation of the official poster of Holy Week 2020 that will take place this next day February 23, Sunday, at 6.30 pm, in the Parish Church of Our Lady of Salceda in Las Torres de Cotillas.

Both the child awarded in this pictorial contest and the school in which he studies will receive as recognition of gratitude and gratitude for his participation and commitment to the objectives of this contest of clear didactic purpose and humanistic training two plates that will be delivered to them in the aforementioned event by the Presidency of the Board of Directors of the Superior Council of Brotherhoods.
