The Department of Youth opens a consultation with youth correspondents for March 8 (05/03/2020)

The Department of Youth of Las Torres de Cotillas has organized, on the occasion of the International Day for the Rights of Women and World Peace, a survey among young people in the municipality to know what young girls in the municipality want and need.

This consultation, in which the youth correspondents of the local institutes collaborate, will focus on topics such as creation and artistic research, leisure, volunteering, urban art and technology.

"We want them to tell us about their experiences as young people with respect to women, in an initiative with which we want to support the acts programmed by the Department of Equality on the occasion of March 8," explains Councilor Antonio Contreras Martínez.

In addition, the Department of Youth will be present at various events of these celebrations on March 8 supporting the Department of Equality in its program.

On Thursday, March 5 (16 hours) he organized a talk at the Casa de la Cultura Pedro Serna - experience on women's day.

It will be at the Center for Young Artists, in this exhibition organized this weekend by the Association of Young Artists of Las Torres de Cotillas and the association of women For All, in collaboration with the Department of Equality.

And as a climax in the I Sports Festival that will take place on Sunday, March 8 (10 hours) in the municipal sports center.

There the young people coordinated by the Department - among them the members of the coeducational theater workshop and the youth correspondents - will be divided to perform two activities: on the one hand, they will deliver bracelets with the hashtags #practicaigualdad #LasTorresdeCotillas;

and, on the other, they will lead the Heroines-Heroes crafts workshop, where they will elaborate masks and layers for those under 12 who attend the event.
