The Torreño City Council takes up the on-site attention and reinforces the security measures and the training of its workers (25/05/2020)

"The company that provides the service offers municipal workers an online course, which reinforces everything that has been done so far, since since March 13 the protocols for action in the various jobs ", explains the mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández. "With the prevention service, the measures to be adopted in the workplace have been evaluated so that the staff provide their services with the greatest guarantees of health (screens, litter bins, hydroalcoholic gel dispensers ...)", indicates the mayor.

In this sense, posters have been installed in the City Council informing about sanitary hygiene practices and measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as well as disinfection and cleaning work at its facilities.

"It will only be accessible by wearing a mask and adopting the measures in place to guarantee the safety and health of the staff and of the neighbors themselves," explains the mayor. Online information The workers most in contact with the population due to the nature of their service - Municipal Police, Civil Protection and Social Services - have had a specific online course on their work environment compared to Covid-19.

In addition, all the workers of the City Council can also take advantage of the training proposed by the School of Training and Innovation of the Public Administration of the Region of Murcia (EFIAP). "Many municipal employees will continue to telework as a prevention and security measure, and they will gradually rejoin their face-to-face positions," says the Councilor for Personnel, Elisa Isabel Hurtado Avilés, whose department attends by telephone and in person to manage any procedure or doubt. In addition, the Department created a section on occupational risk prevention on the municipal website at the beginning of the health crisis to offer information to the entire population.

"The different useful action protocols for working and even for their homes are being reported, information that is updated as the Government publishes new measures," says the mayor, who notes that this section is divided into information for companies and information for citizens.
