| Awarded by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ??only four other municipalities in the Region of Murcia have achieved the highest score | The Las Torres de Cotillas City Council has achieved 100% of the Infoparticipa 2019 seal for the quality and transparency of local public communication granted by the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
This distinction recognizes the good practices that are revealed on the websites of local public administrations and at the same time promote that they are assumed by the rest of the political and technical managers.
"It is a pride that the work of transparency and service to the citizen is recognized in this way", highlights the mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández. This assessment analyzes various indicators to answer four basic questions: who are the political representatives, how do they manage collective resources, how do they report on their management and what instruments do they provide for citizen participation.
"The evaluations for this report were carried out between March and May 2020," reports the councilor for Transparency, Mª Pilar Perez Mas. Of the 45 municipalities in the Region of Murcia, only 36% have approved, and only San Pedro del Pinatar, Águilas, Alcantarilla and Cartagena have achieved the highest score as Las Torres de Cotillas.
