| This action will be complemented by the implementation of new geronto-gymnastics play areas, the improvement of urban infrastructures, renovation of public lighting and furniture urban | The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas is going to proceed to the pedestrianization of Bartolomé Ródenas street, one of the most emblematic roads of the urban center of the municipality, located next to the Parque de la Constitución, in addition to carrying out the traffic management of its environment. "With this project we want to give answers to the requests of the neighbors, who demanded this pedestrianization to enjoy their surroundings in complete safety," explains the Mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández. Planned at EDUSI This project is included in the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) called "Las Torres Conecta".
Specifically, in the line of action of the development of sustainable urban mobility and connection with districts and industrial areas, covering other thematic objectives such as achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy. The EDUSI Torreña has a total amount of 6,250,000 euros for investments in the municipality, of which 80% is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (Feder), through the 2014-2020 Multi-regional Operational Program of Spain, while 1,250,000 euros are from a municipal contribution.
