| The consistory gives a diploma and a box to the students who could not hold the end of year party due to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus | The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, through the Department of Education, New Technologies and Citizen Participation, has awarded a diploma to the students of all the schools in the municipality who finish the cycle of Infant 5 years and sixth grade from elementary school. As the mayor responsible for the area, Rafael Martínez García explains, "we wanted to have this little detail after the hard months of confinement, which have had a great impact on all families, and especially on the youngest." "As it was not possible to organize an end-of-year party, we have considered this gesture convenient, which, although it does not replace everything that this final party entails, we hope that at least it will serve to cheer our children." Thus, in addition to the diploma, all the 5-year-old students have been given a box, and those in the sixth grade of Primary have a box with a pen and a mechanical pencil. From the mayor's office, the first mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández, highlights that "although they have been distributed by the different centers, most of the details have been delivered directly to their homes." The Councilor for Education, accompanied by CEIP director Valentín Buendía and a teacher, made a symbolic delivery at the facilities of the educational center.
