The general director of Commerce and Business Innovation, María José Ros Olivo, visited Las Torres de Cotillas this week, together with the mayor of this municipality, Joaquín Vela Fernández, and made a tour of the establishments of the town to learn about the situation of the sector. During the visit, Ros met several businesses in the Commercial Area of ??Las Torres de Cotillas (ACLT), an entity that brings together more than a hundred merchants, hoteliers, artisans and professionals in the town.
The general director stated that "local commerce is suffering a lot from this economic crisis caused by the pandemic and from the regional government we must be by their side to help them in whatever way we can." Likewise, during the visit the creation of an 'online' electronic commerce platform was addressed to offer visibility to the products of all merchants in the Region of Murcia.
Likewise, María José Ros pointed out that "the three main objectives that we want to achieve from the General Directorate of Commerce and Business Innovation are to promote digitization and innovation in the commerce sector, its professionalization and, of course, launch programs and actions to encourage local consumption through revitalization actions in the municipalities ".
