| This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Social Services | After the closure of the school canteens due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19, the Probitas Foundation - in collaboration with the Las Torres de Cotillas City Council - once again grants scholarships to minor Torreños so that they can attend the school canteen.
"There will be a total of 68 students from the schools of our municipality that this school year will enjoy this resource," reports the councilor for Social Services, María del Mar Ruiz Rosillo.Likewise, it is noteworthy that since the state of alarm and the corresponding confinement began until the end of the academic year, this foundation and the municipal Social Services distributed a total of 94 purse cards.
"With these resources we ensure the basic food of the minor scholars during this period, extending the income until the end of August", explains the mayor. For years Fundación Probitas has collaborated closely with the municipal department of Social Services and the municipal schools to grant scholarships to minors whose families are in a precarious economic situation.
"We want to thank once again the enormous work that this entity carries out in Las Torres de Cotillas", expresses Torreño mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
