The general director of Open Government and Cooperation, David Martínez, has held a meeting by videoconference with the Councilor for Transparency, Institutional Relations and Internal Regime of the Las Torres de Cotillas City Council, María del Pilar Pérez, and with Rafael Martínez, Councilor for Education , New Technologies and Citizen Participation.

At this meeting, a general evaluation of the situation of citizen participation and transparency policies in the municipality was carried out. Martínez highlighted the support from the Ministry of Transparency, Participation and Public Administration in promoting participation and transparency policies in the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas, as well as in the rest of the Region of Murcia.

For this reason, he explained, "we have organized a workshop for the municipal technicians of Citizen Participation that will be held on November 4, to teach them how the software of the public consultations that we carry out in the regional Administration works so that they can also carry them out to municipal level.

In this way, city councils will be able to contribute to increasing citizen participation.

" They were also informed that in the first fortnight of December the second meeting of the 'Regional Network of Municipalities for Citizen Participation' will take place, in which the 45 consistories with their technical teams will be invited.

These meetings serve to share good practices and exchange experiences between the different municipalities.
