Communiqué from the Popular Party of Las Torres de CotillasThe PP of Las Torres de Cotillas says NO to the Celaá Law that intends to bury educational freedom (19/11/2020)

The PP of Las Torres de Cotillas begins a campaign against the Celaá Law, thus showing its opposition to the new regulation of the Ministry of Education, which aims to bury Castilian, the common language of all Spaniards, and eliminate it as a vehicular language in education .

This is a concession from the Government of Pedro Sánchez to the nationalist parties that do not believe in Spain but in destroying their identity, starting with the Spanish language in teaching. The Torreño PP shows its rejection of this draft Organic Law modifying the Organic Law of Education (LOE) promoted by the central Government of the PSOE and Podemos - known as "Celaá Law" by the minister of the branch -, and makes it clear that it is necessary to take action on the matter to stop the plans of this social-communist government of Pedro Sánchez to eliminate the rights and freedoms of the Spanish. This bill aims to bury the freedom of education, the Spanish language and special education and in Las Torres de Cotillas there are as many reasons as there are students of concerted education to support the campaign against the Celaá Law. The aforementioned bill contemplates, in addition to the suppression of the reference to Spanish as the official language of the State in education, another series of measures, among which the following stand out: the prohibition that the subsidized schools segregate by sex; the progressive increase of public places for the stage from 0 to 3 years; that the Religion subject does not count towards the average grades; the transfer of public land exclusively to the construction of publicly owned centers; the establishment of the "exceptionality" of the repetition of the course or the referral of students from Special Education centers to ordinary centers within a period of ten years.Faced with this, the PP Torreño recalls that the town has private centers arranged with the public educational system in which they receive quality education daily and a large number of students are released. Thus, this PP campaign also includes a collection of signatures promoted in demand for the withdrawal of the aforementioned bill, the distribution of the orange vindictive ribbon against the Celaá Law; a broad deployment on social networks through messages and videos from popular leaders and initiatives in public administrations such as the municipality of the municipality, for example, motion. The PP of Las Torres de Cotillas also expresses its support for the families, teachers and Ampas of the concerted centers of the town and supporting all their protest actions.

That is why the popular Torreños will hold meetings with teachers and Ampas and, of course, will participate in the mobilizations that are called. From the PP of Las Torres de Cotillas we encourage all parents and all neighbors to join this campaign, because we not only protect the freedom of education of the students of the concerted and their parents, but we must stop the drift of this Social-communist government to eliminate the rights and freedoms of the Spanish.

Because today it is the threat to the freedom of choice of centers and tomorrow it could be any other fundamental right of citizens. Added to this framework of the defense of quality and educational freedom led by the Popular Party is the announcement made this Monday by our national president, Pablo Casado.Specifically and from the commitment of the PP for the freedom of choice of parents, bilingualism, digitization, new technologies and dual vocational training, and the defense of concerted, special and differential education, Casado has notified the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, that the PP will repeal the Celaá Law and announce an appeal before the Constitutional Court and go to the European Union. For his part, our regional president Fernando López Miras highlights that the Murcian Government is working on all possible legal options to not apply the Celaá Law, a norm that, in the words of the head of the regional Executive, is designed to control and indoctrinate assuming a unprecedented attack on freedom and the quality of education. López Miras affirms that in the Region of Murcia, on the contrary, it is parents who choose their children's educational center thanks to the "single district". For the future of an education in freedom for our children, the PP of Las Torres de Cotillas says Stop the Celaá Law.
